Aug 7th Udaipur

Here in Udaipur. Super cool city. Very Hindi vibe yoga is big here. There are 8 artificial lakes. All were damned back in the late 1300 for water for the villages and agriculture. Once the capital of Mewar, Udaipur was founded by Rana Udai Singh after the fall of Chittor to Akbar in 1568. Although the Rajputs were thrown out of their capital they never gave up their sense of freedom, choosing to give up their lives for dignity and honour. That was copied from Google. We walked looking for the ghat which is the boat launch. We want to take a cruise around the lake. Just beautiful here. The people are kind always want to take a selfie with you pretty funny. The rupee the currency here is up to 83 per 1 US. Not sure what's going on since our first day it was 77. Wilson bought me another lei just because it was beautiful. These women with the donkeys fill the bags up really full with this gravel send the donkeys up the road drop it off and come back for a refill. The roads are so narrow you couldn't get a truck down here. There is a walking bridge connecting the 2 sides of the lake. We had dinner at this authentic Indian restaurant sitting in lotus position for dinner. Again amazing. All vegetarian. Really enjoying Udaipur. Can't wait to explore more tomorrow
