July 16. The most southern tip of Africa

We made it to the most southern part of Africa. In fact if you look at the globe photo we actually touched 3 oceans at the same time. Funny thing is the water wasn't nearly as cold as I thought it would be. Not swimming for us by any means but pleasant. Arrived at the town Agulhas had lunch at this authentic Dutch restaurant ehhhh but had a cool bar. Just not a fan of Nordic food. Then both Wilson and I touch the oceans!!  Super cool. On our way back we saw miles of this yellow flower. We just couldn't tell what it was. Come to find out it's the canola flower. This flower is a miracle flower. It's root is a rutabaga the flowers produce seeds for canola oil but mostly grape seed oil which I find odd. The majority of these flowers are fed to the cattle. It contains a lot of fat and protein. During WW11 rutabaga was a major staple. Who would have thought. On our way back we stopped at a winery/brewery/cheese tasting. We were too late for the cheese tasting. Now back here making dinner then hot tubbing again getting prepared for the 8 PM electrical outage. Good thing we are very prepared now for this. Nice day. Exhausted 😊
