June 15 game drive day
Can you say elephants? They were everywhere!! We were still on the hunt for a lion. We tried oh how we tried. So we broke down and hired a guide. His photo didn't download:/. He took us up to the lookout to see a 360 degree view of the park Ambosili. We had a picnic with him. He claimed he is the son of the chief of his tribe. We did learn there are 52 tribes in Kenya. They all have their own language and have written text as well for all. The main language is Swahili. Jambo means hello Asante is thank you Karibo is your welcome and hakina matata is all is great!! If a Kenyan is rich enough to attend school.tgey start to learn English in 4th grade. I thought they just learned English as a first language. A Kenyan who is unable to learn English is at a huge disadvantage. They can't be a guide or customer service for any of the tourist industry which is 8.2% of their GDP. Anyway he wasn't a good guide didn't find us a lion either but learned a lot!! We dropped him off at his village and started back to camp. Well as luck has it Kilimanjaro cleared for my tree pose opportunity!! Woohoo. Got out of the rig took the position and even got zebra as a bonus!! Great day
